Maid Story 1- Mine

I know that some of my friends got quite a fair share of maid stories.  Let me start with mine before I write theirs.

My maid has been with us for 2 years. She started working with us in early 2008 and 2 months after she arrived my mum was admitted to a hospital.I was lucky as she was here. We adjusted our life slightly to accommodate all family members. I would fetch her every day daily at 6.00 pm after work and together we went to hospital. I would leave hospital at 8.00 pm leaving her to accompany my mum. My hubby would fetch her as early as 6.00 am to avoid the  busy morning traffic and to send her to my family house so that she can attend to my sisters a.k.a nieces and take care of my 2 girls .

She worked in the day time- managing the children for morning and afternoon school. Looked out  after my girls, cooked and cleaned. Then come afternoon, I would fetch her again and the same routines continued for almost 4 months. She slept in the hospital throughout the 4 months and became a regular face there apart from the patients and the nurses.

I let her stay and help my mum even after my mum was released from the hospital and she attended to her during day time. She would clean her wound in the morning and night. And she would bath and clean her and help her to stand up to her wheelchair when we were at work during the day. She has been a great help indeed. I only borrowed her on weekend to do some cleaning up at my house for a few hours.

So even though I have her for 2 years she is only full time in my house for this 1 year only.

Yes, she is not perfect. I have to ask her or remind her many times. Sometimes I need to tell her I like certain things to be done my way or I don't like her to do certain other thing. I may get annoyed once a awhile but averagely I think she is OK- maybe a good one. I think I just got lucky. She did not complain  on the elderly , she did not complain on the children. And another good thing is she follows my rules with the children. No TV before 5 means no TV:). My girls sometimes come complain saying kakak does not allow that and this :).

Her contract will end Feb next year and she said that she wants to work with us still. I would let her go back to her home town for 10 days and I do hope she would come back  . I clearly  tell her if she has any thought at all about not coming back - tell me now so that I can arranged for her replacement.- She said she will come back. I believe her because she will not be taking much money with her and maybe because I think she will. I have faith that she will:)

PS: I do have doubt but I keep my fingers cross. InsyaAllah she will come back. If not I will need to be a supermom again for some time. Need to find my super women uniform - look like superman but slightly better kekekek just kidding - I WISH I can fly like superman :)

I rasa she will come back..coz from my ecperience, kalau dia cakap nak datang tu biasanya dia akan dtg balik,tp kalau kita tanya, dia diam, maknanya x nak lah tu..

So, semoga dia dtg balik ye..if not..u will pening kepala to start again n again training for a new one..
