I managed to grab 3 more books from MPH last week – to add up to my stack of unread books. MPH (and Popular and maybe the others), group 3 books for the price of 2 for some books from selective authors .
Among them are Alexandra Potter and Jodi Picoult. That's the thing, looking around is just not enough –it is good to avoid any book shop because if I go in, I have just got to buy books – a minimun of 1 book. It is really not necessary because I have many books that I have not read or manage to read halfway only :) (but since I start tepek kat blog ni - I try my best to habiskan baca and I berjaya dan berjaya hehe). Anyway, maybe that what matters - the spirit, the enthusiasm, the drive and the motivation to read hehe. Betul tak kawan kawan?
I was looking for Alexandra Potter – be careful for what you wish for but it is grouped together with Mr Darcy And Me and Do You Come Here Often which I have read :).
Mr Darcy And Me is the first book from AP that I read and I have listed it down as one of my favorites. It is about a girl/woman who could not find any other man in the real world to fall in love with because she was so besotted with the one in Pride and Prejudice . She hallucinated and daydreamt to the extend that she talked and laughed with Mr Darcy. hmm I can relate to this - you know like I am falling for Edward in the Twilight series hehe - sungguh la romantic - when I read him - terasa terbang diawang awangan kekeke
I also read Potter’s Who That Girl Is - heroin of the book accidentally bumped into her 21- years-old self. When she found out that she could go back and forth between the past and the future, she wasted no time and tried to protect her younger self from making any stupid mistakes of her life - mistakes that she did before - like sleeping with a jerk who would eventually break her heart. This is more about you and your old self rather than about romance. Romance only comes towards the end but I enjoyed it still
Currently I am reading (about to finish dah) Do you come here often . And I think I like this book more than Mr Darcy and Me. It is about a girl who bumped into her first love and realized that they both still had a thing for each other. Though she was engaged and her ex was getting married. This is about the first love :)
If you love Sophie Kinsella – you will love Alexandra Potter :) but I do think that SK's books are funnier- kelakar, macam kartun - but AP kelakar control macho skit :D

Anybody of you read Jodi Picoult ? care to share? So I got 3 of her books and I dont think they are romance - Keeping Faith, Mercy and The Tenth Circle.
I got the feeling that I will like her books because I managed to stand unmoving - at the bookshop about 20 minutes or so reading her other book - my sisters’ keeper (film yang cameron diaz berlakon tu, nope I have not watched it :)). Just trying to get the feeling.

Babe, i read Jodi Picoult's but haven't picked up any new ones in a while now. i am more into crime fiction and psychological thriller or else historical romance, you know, the likes of Judith McNaught. nanti dah baca Jodi Picoult's kasitahu i camane best tak eh?
Macam menarik je buku2 ni...I have never read books written by Alexandra Potter....but after you've mentioned about the books, I think I want to read those books....which one do you suggest to buy first? thanx dear :)
i tak berapa nak kuat membaca sangat hehe.. kalau masuk kedai buku the only book yang i akan beli adalah majalah resepi n libur hehehe... but baru ni(last month sbnrnya haha) i ada beli 2 novel lepas baca review d blog zarin, know what til now i baru baca 2-3 helai... hehehehe...
Mmm..minat Edward jugak..I don't read story books nowadays. Tak sempat..tapi kalau dah start baca mmg tak leh stop. ..You ni kalau kat sekolah sure dah menang Anugerah Nilam...

TK - adoi sis mana boleh - nak dapat anugerah tu macam KIT or Haida boleh la they all lagi terror :) membaca dan membaca - pesta buku , sales book lagi tak pernah miss heheh

Eda! I love this post. Thanks for sharing. looks like chick lits this Alexandra Potter ya, maybe I'll pass. I've read Jodi Picoult's My Sister's Keeper, and I strongly recommend it! Heart-wrenching, and it'll leave you with questions you don't want to ask yourself - what if the death of my sibling is the worst and the best thing that can happen to me? What would I do? I am now into Indian authors after I finish this Grisham book :)

I bought the 2 Alexandra Potter's books in a bundled package from Kino but have yet to read them.
I've read Jodi Picoult's books. You either love her or hate her! How to explain eh? Its like, as you read, you start to get bored with the plot but yet, you are anticipating the ending & want to know what's next, so you keep on reading! Apparently, I am not alone. There was a survey done here in Singapore and that's the general sentiments abt her. So do you think I love or hate her? (Hint: I've not gotten any of her newer books and I dont intend to, unless I've got nothing else to read!)

I always wonder where u find time to read. For me, newspaper also no mood to read. Weekdays got home, tend to the girl (only 1 pun so time consuming) and then sleep. Weekends, lagi no time cause she's with me 24x7. When she sleeps I sleep.. hahaha

u dah pernah pergi bookxcess kat amcorp mall? really good bargains for english novels. plenty of chick lits. i rasa u mungkin suka kot - books selling for RM9.90 - 19.90(paperback) and RM19.90 above (hardcover)

kiasumom- lepas anak i tidur la dear malam or weekend masa they all do their things - ada masa but buku tu a minimum take about 1 month la 2 finish kena sabar la heheeh kalau duduk 2 hari dua malam tak buat kerja lain habis la satu buku but what to do time is limited :0 u can do that also :)
