I receive a call this morning from my SIL. Asking me to buy a newspaper and asking me if we watched the news last night. One of our nephews has gone missing for 3 weeks.
The funny thing is his parents just got the news a few days ago as they went to his school to fetch him. He is studying in one of the boarding school in the east – not that far from home but separated by districts .
With so many things happened in my life, this could not top up my own personal problems because I could not imagine my son goes missing. That the worst of all than anything else that could ever happen.
He is 16 years old. Maybe the right term is not “missing”. Maybe, he runs away. But a son is son to any mother.Tak kirala you are 1 month old or you da tua bangka- you are my son. I give you a life and I am willing to sacrifice my life for you. Betul tak?
To me, he just looks nice, good enough son to his mother, respect the elderly, respect me and all. I am sure he is somewhere. As a teenager – he may have his own world or his own words or his own rebellious behavior.
Maybe he has done something and he got afraid and disappears, or he has a problem at school so after his weekly outing, maybe he decides for not coming back or there are many other possible reasons that only GOD knows.
But the things that strike me as funny and stupid (minta maaf), why did not the school calls his parent? For goodness sake, It is a boarding school. Yes fine they claim that they have sent a letter. And God knows why the letter does not reach his family. But how about doing something extra.? The teacher, the headmaster? Can people just let go of a responsibility by handing out a letter?. No follow up. 3 weeks never comes back to school is ok?
So my SIL is now working hard to make sure his son comes back. Newspaper, TV news, telek telek, talking to his friends, lodge a police report and all.
Untie harap Allah gerakkan hati you to call home because you make everybody worries. There are no problems without solution and whatever your problem is we can work things out.

kesiannya... cannot imagine macam mana ibu bapanya rasa, mesti tak lena tidur malam.. semoga dia selamat dan semoga Allah buka hatinya untuk balik... sama2 kita doakan..

Apasal la budak2 remaja ni kalau ada masalah sikit, lari?? takut agaknya yer!!..
tapi sebenarnya bukan mudah nak jaga anak remaja ni sebenarnya..(my experience..)
btw:..semoga anak itu cepat2 balik yer..kesian ur SIL..
semoga dia pulang ke pangkuan parents. apa2 pun yang dia wat, mak ayah dia mesti maafkan kan. anak itu anugerah. semoga semuanya baik-baik belaka.
benda cam gini yg paling i takut sekali trjadi. i doakan semoga ur dia kembali semula ke pangkuan keluarga.

Ya Allah..ur nephew ker? kenapa pihak sekolah buat tindakan gitu? izzit enuff dengan just shoot a letter? takde follow-up ape ape? huh..for me ibarata no action taken..

Lady iye la lady i pun tak leh imagine nasib da besak at least we know bukan hilang or kena culik

this is one of the reasons why i hate our edu system and all the rest that goes with it...my sympathies, ermayum. hope your nephew return home soon.
i did ran out of my home - once. but i came back. i hope he's okay wherever he is...
