Tonight is my company's Thank You dinner. I bet Bella, Eca, Ina and all the others tengah beronggeng and bergelak tawa. And here I am - at home :).
I seldom attend any extravaganza dinner aka annual dinner, with the life band, glamour artist and lucky draw and not so clever MC sometimes :D. I attended last year one with red color theme, did not appear in the year before with disco theme or the year before that with bollywood theme. I attend one year and missing in action for the next one, or two years and then reappear again in the next year later – like biscuit choc fudge sekejab ada sekejab tak da :). Unless of course if I was part of the organizer or a task force member –
It is only a matter of mood. I don’t feel like going this year – the theme for tonight is jeans bling bling – not that hard to comply I guess. Last year Eca and I turned up late and we went round and round trying to find the entrance to the 1st world hotel hehe – I did not write any post on that eventful night though sebab banyak sangat post lain masa tu (ceh). But Eca and I always cannot get the right direction, the modern labu and labi– (read here on how we got lost in Batu Pahat :D).
Call me anti social :D or boring (to death) person :) maybe that is true. The only thing that excite me is the food hehe. We are always served with the 7 or 8 course dinner- Chinese Course. Never western. That's the Toyota way :). And it is always us and us only - spouse is not invited. Unless if you are going up to the stage to pick up your 30 years service award. You can go up hand in hand jalan macam pengantin naik atas pentas with your beloved one :).
Other things that excite me is the entertainment and the lucky draw. We will be having fun if we got the right entertainer or we are just going to cringe at the host/mc who utters stupid or unintelligent jokes. Once, PCK limited came – the real one. Though I enjoy him in the series but the way he handled the crowd that night was really a disappointment. Hmm and the lucky draw- never once I win anything :)- small gift or grand gift :(.
And the theme. I am not one of those people who got excited by any theme at all :D . Yang senang senang tu I ikut la macam color semua tu but yang susah susah tu kena cari afro rambut or sewa sari for bollywood style tu I tak buat la:). As crazy as I am, I don't dare :).

Dari dulu sampai sekarang ai tak pernah makan malay course dinner bile event..asyik asyik shark fin..tempura..sweet sour..nasi greng cina yang sangat hambar..hmm
Ur theme kali ni quite leisure yer nak banding dengan previos..:)..takpe dok umah lagi bahagia..:)

i tak berapa suka annual dinner sebenarnya sebab i pemalu.. ;-)
masa kerja dulu kalau ada benda2 cenggini, i memang awal2 dah tarik diri.. now ni, i kene ikut husband, macam baru ni masa kene makan lepat masam tu, i kene pergi jugak sebab organizer kata wife dijemput hehe.. tapi the food i memang dah maklum tak sedap, semua kasi yang berkrim-krim color putihhh jer, cemana lah i nak telan..
lagi satu i bila berdepan kurang pandai nak mula bercakap dengan orang, depa ni pulak banyak tanya, i kan kecik lagi... :D ada sorang tu mai dari pakistan ke mana ntah dok tanya i pasal economy system la, education system in malaysia lah, mana lah i nak tahu sangat...hihi
kiteworang wajibb pegi..cheh,.. sajelaa tu nak meramaikan umat sbb tau nanti org boring nak gi..tapi knowing 'them'..kdg2 mcm dinner utk derang jek..aramak.. hehehe...
nanie sama la sini tak pernah malay or western n tak pernah halakat and tak pernah buffet sama ja every year :)

but now different lady g dinner as tetamu bukan staff they all respect ya ala lady angguk 2 geleng2 ja kalau dia tanya apa apa :D

i pulak..suka betul g annual dinner..sbb suka tgk show..ada kridayanti laa..CT la..sheila Majid laa annuar zain laa...tapi kena ada gang..takde gang mmg sah tak g..nanti jadi kera sumbang dok meja org2 yg kita tak biasa..maklum I ni kan pemalu:)
screamingmommy ha sama la kita kalau i pg mesti siang siang suh orang cop tempat duduk - takut kena duk ngan tah sapa2 mestitak best kan i suka gak tgk but toyota jarang panggil artis kedekut hahah but last night ada Ning Baizura you kalau CT yang dtg mesi I pg but Ning takpala :)

tak merasa la i nk melawa or makan2 best chinese set ke international set ke....huhuhu
