PC is a Brazilian and his English books are all translation. Easy to understand. Very straightforward. But Brida (I assumed that her other books are also the same, based on his other tittles) dwell on spiritual things- very deep- very abstract- very philosophical.
Brida is about a women who wants to learn magic- in order understand what her gift or what she is capable of doing , she must learn "the tradition of the moon and the tradition of the sun" (to understand what the hell of this ja da buat I pening kepala dah :)).
In her quest for knowledge, she rediscovers her new self- Brida, the witch, she experiences greater love than ever and understands the whole wide world in a new perspective - how the visible world interconnects with the invisible world and how to build a bridge between the two of them.
In certain ways, this is a beautiful story, especially on the portrayal of love by Magus- Brida's soulmate, the Guru on the tradition of the sun. How he makes the greatest sacrifice of all - to let go the one that he loved the most - to love without being able to be with (or to own) the person.

The theme is my kind of theme :) but it is just not my book :), I took months to complete it - and finally I managed to pick it up again because I came across a chapter where Brida is determined to find her soul mate. The words soul mate is what keep me going - konon ada tempias romance heheh.
It is very fascinating though - how the book defines soul mate - there is a piece of us in others - who live through many years ago, who got reincarnated in the past or in the future. And if we come across this piece of us - then we find our soul mate- the me and the you are actually the same being before- these were One Self at one point of time - or so as the book puts in "in some reincarnation, an individual soul are divided into two, each of these then divide again into 2 and so on, there are a bit here and there of ourselves, our soul is then scattered all over the earth. At one point of one’s life, he or she can come across his or her soul mate" :D - - and the book also said that this is just like the story of the Eve, who comes from Adam - kononnya it follows the same theory , anyway this is a fictional book ok - so you dont have to believe it :)

Yes, this book is quite spiritual in its own context, of course. But I read for the story and I am Ok.

hmmm...maybe i x minat kot erma baca buku2 yg mcm ni..kena banyak berfikir masa baca..hehehhe!!nampak mcm i nak yg senang je ek...so today u cemana?better i hope :)
beb congrats!! sbb finally habis baca,looking at the synopsis je I can imagine how boring the book is...but beb at least u can bring urself to finish kira dah satu achievement..kalau i sure abandon half way:)

PC is not in my list yet..soon perhaps...baca ur review je i dah tak paham. kalau baca je, sure i dh tido tuk 2 saat permulaan. hehehe
