Maid Meets Maid

Last Sunday, Jernih's sister came by. She wanted to say goodbye to Jernih as she is going back for good in mid August. In addition, Jernih wants to pass some raya angpow for her mom.

She came from Subang with her employer. For about 2 hours, they finally met and then parted way- made possible by good and kind hearted me :D and her sister's employer. But there was a little unpleasant incident prior to this meeting. I have learned before that maid cannot be trusted when there is another person of their kind involved - when they start interacting among them (indon and indon, maid and maid, maid and kampung and family and all).

Jernih approached me last few weeks saying that her sister's employer had given her sister 1 day off. She asked me if it was ok for her sister to visit her and stay overnight at my house. I said that should be no problem but I need to talk to her employer first. Just to be safe - Just to make sure. I purposely make my self smell something fishy :). I mean kena la skeptical sikit dengan they all ni kan tak leh percaya. I must double check the fact that her employer does give her an off day- susah rasanya any of us nak bagi cuti - overnight la pulakkan boleh menimbulkan masalah- masalah social nanti :). Biar betul ko ni , I said to Jernih. And I asked her to get her sister to sms me her employer's telephone numbers.

I called Pn Zila - Perkenalkan diri and explain how I was related to her (by maid la heheh). She was aware of it because her maid told her once. Similarly, I also know that Jernih has a sister working somewhere. I asked Pn Zila,"betulke akak bagi Si Polan cuti untuk bermalam kat rumah saya? and you allow her to go away for the weekend?  Pn Zila said, - Not in my dream ( ni I yang cakap :)) - dia cakap lagi, "eh takda la, mana ada - memang la dia ada kata boleh tak pergi lawat adik dia sebelum balik and I said tengokla dulu - minggu minggu depan bebila ke tapi bukan la besok and tak boleh la bermalam bagai'.

Amboi Jernih, Are you making up a story here? - Jernih said, No, tidak tidak, bukan, kakak aku kata dia dapat cuti' - And her sister said- it is Jernih who asked. -Jernih yang ajak . Hmm, just nice -dua kali lima you all ye - Nasib I tak tertipu you :D.

Despite that, Pn Zila said Jernih's sister who has worked for her, for 3 years, never gave her family hard time, so maybe they (and any maids for that matter) are just bound to create problems when they talk or meet one another without supervision - sekadar cakap pun da berdolak dalih.

Nevertheless, Pn Zila came yesterday. We let the two sisters exchanged khabar and gossip. We make new friends with Pn Zila and her hubby. Dina and Acha also make fast friends with their daughters. Glad having you at our house and minta maaf la makan mee goreng kosong and goreng pisang ja :).

And No, I tak agree maid di beri cuti and keluar jalan jalan. Kalau nak cuti sangat - Ok Sunday you cuti tengok tv and tidur ja ye and I buat kerja :)-
